About Ms. Jean-Jacques
I have taught since 2003, mostly in Alberta. Fifteen years at Bishop Kidd School with the Calgary Catholic School District, then a period leading Kakisa Lake School in the Northwest Territories, then back to Calgary with the public board. Kakisa is a very small community, and running a school there meant teaching several grades and several subjects in the same day.
That is why my range is wide rather than narrow. I teach English, French and science from Grade 1 to Grade 12, geography to Grade 10, and math to Grade 8, in English and in French. My three degrees, all from the University of Alberta, are in education, educational studies and leadership.
Step by step is the whole method. I find where the student actually is, then we move one step from there.
Why Ms. Jean-Jacques teaches these subjects
I ran a school in a very small Northwest Territories community, where one person taught several grades and several subjects in the same day. That is why my range is wide rather than narrow. I teach English, French, math and science because a family rarely needs help with only one of them.
