About Ms. dsouza
I teach chemistry, physics and science from Grade 7 to Grade 12, and chemistry is where I have spent the most time, including at the Grade 11, Grade 12 and first year university level. I have taught at Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School with the Peel board, at Vaughan Road Academy with York Region, and at two independent academies in Mississauga.
Alongside teaching I build e-learning material and video explainers, and that changed how I tutor. Making a five minute video forces you to find the shortest honest version of an idea, and that version is usually the one a stuck student needs. So I do not re-teach the chapter.
I find the single step where the reaction, the mole calculation or the equation stopped making sense, and rebuild from there.
