About Ms. Kallianiotis
I hold a teaching licence in two provinces. I earned my Quebec brevet d'enseignement in 1998, and I registered with the Ontario College of Teachers in 2022. My education degree from McGill covers French at both the elementary and the high school level, and I spent close to nineteen years teaching French at Laval Junior Academy under the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board.
Teaching one subject in one school for that long shows you where students actually stall. It is almost never vocabulary. It is the moment they stop trusting themselves to say the sentence out loud. I work in French and in English, so a student can ask the question in the language they think in, then answer it in the one they are learning.
